the summer my eyes were blue

the summer i had eyes for you

the summer i tried to glue your fingertips to mine but no

no luck

not from six feet apart

not with explosions on the television and explosions in my heart no

no luck

not from the start

not when my little words meant only a lot to you.

Poet Bio

Home?

Chicago, Illinois

What is home to you?

To me, home is the place where someone you love gives you a cup of tea without you having to ask.

Ellie Houlihan is a student with the Dual Bachelor's Degree Program between Sciences Po and Columbia University. Originally from Chicago, she is currently based in Reims, France. When she's not writing (and studying), Ellie enjoys dancing, acting, watching movies, and filling out the weekly crossword with her family.
